Bushfire Kitchen appears to be expanding into Irvine, according to a recent filing with the Orange County Health Care Agency. The restaurant chain has submitted plans for a location on 3965 Alton Parkway, Suite A, in Irvine, where a project review is currently listed as active.
While the company has not yet publicly announced an opening timeline, the filing suggests Bushfire Kitchen is preparing to take over space at the Westpark Plaza shopping center.
Founded in 2012 in Temecula by the late Clive Barwin, Bushfire Kitchen has grown from a single neighborhood restaurant into a popular Southern California chain. Now led by his son, CEO Oliver Barwin, the brand has earned a loyal following with its focus on “healthy comfort food,” combining fresh, high-quality ingredients with globally inspired flavors. Its menu features favorites such as grass-fed tri-tip, burgers, salads, bowls, sandwiches, empanadas, and housemade beverages.
Bushfire Kitchen currently operates restaurants in Mission Viejo, Brea, Cypress, and several locations throughout San Diego County, Riverside County, and the Inland Empire, while continuing an active expansion campaign across Southern California.
