The Irish Exit, by The Dead Rabbit Group, is opening its doors in Centennial Yards this week. The bar and restaurant will open on June 12 at 85 Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW Suite D-400. The venue will serve Guinness alongside an all-day menu of Irish-inspired dishes.

The hospitality company is known for its popular venues in New York. The Atlanta location marks the company’s first venture in the Southern United States. The new venue is designed to be a gathering spot for sports fans, locals, and visitors.

“The Irish Exit brings new energy and standout hospitality to our Entertainment District at a pivotal moment for Atlanta, and we’re excited to celebrate its opening and welcome residents and visitors to experience it,” said Brian McGowan, President of Centennial Yards Company. “It’s another step in building a destination that will resonate well beyond the World Cup.”

To celebrate the opening, The Irish Exit Atlanta will launch its “Split the G, Drink for Free” Guinness challenge. The new destination also plans to host additional events tied to Atlanta’s sports and entertainment scene.

“We’re incredibly excited to finally open the doors of The Irish Exit in Atlanta. When we conceived this concept, our goal was to showcase the breadth, depth, and modernity of Irish culture across America, and I can think of no better place than Downtown Atlanta, on the historic grounds of Terminus, for our first Irish Exit outside New York,” said Jack McGarry, managing director of The Dead Rabbit Group.

Occupying a 4,735-square-foot space, the new venue is designed to celebrate both Irish and Atlanta culture. The artwork throughout the space combines works from Irish artists and Atlanta-based creators. The centerpiece is a custom-built mechanical clapperboard created by Philadelphia-based Oat Foundry. This is connected to nearby sports venues and will display live game scores.

One of the highlights is a 45-foot mural by Irish illustrator David McMillan. The mural tells two stories at once, depicting Atlanta’s history and culture from one side and Ireland’s history and culture from the other. The two narratives meet in the center, symbolizing the connection between the two cultures.

The menu at The Irish Exit is designed for quick, satisfying meals. It includes hot dogs, a traditional ham and cheese toastie, a spice bag, and other items inspired by Irish flavors. The beverage program features Guinness, Irish coffee, craft cocktails, beer, wine, and a range of spirits.

The opening adds another food-and-beverage destination to the growing Centennial Yards entertainment district ahead of several major events planned for Downtown Atlanta in the coming years.
