KFC has unveiled a global brand refresh that includes menu updates, redesigned restaurants, and a new visual identity. The program focuses on providing customers with a more modern experience while simultaneously preserving the brand’s legacy.

KFC Launches Global Rebranding and Menu Innovation Initiative

KFC is making a global transformation to solidify its presence in the fast-growing chicken category. The move is to address changing consumer tastes and emerge as a more compelling option in a saturated quick-service market.

Scott Mezvinsky, CEO of KFC Global, said KFC is looking to create a new vision for contemporary chicken-eating habits. Mezvinsky added, “This next chapter brings new energy and expression to what makes us iconic, while doubling down on our chicken and reimagining how fans experience KFC around the world.”

KFC is also introducing new products in the boneless category to make meals shareable. There is a wider variety of sauces to enhance the customization options, and new products are being developed with a focus on dipping, snacking, and customization.

What’s New in the Menu

KFC’s new food strategy is all about customization and spicy menus designed to appeal to today’s consumers. KFC is introducing new boneless chicken tenders and other items to accompany an increasing variety of dipping sauces.

The menu will feature more than 20 sauce varieties, including updated favorites and globally inspired flavors. This includes Chimichurri Ranch and Hot Honey Habanero, which offer additional ways for customers to customize their food.

KFC is also launching its “Dunked” menu. It includes tenders, wings, and sandwiches that are “dunked” in the sauce instead of being served with it on the side. Already available in markets such as India and South Africa, the offerings are designed to deliver a more flavor-forward eating experience.

The chain is investing in beverages through its KWENCH by KFC platform. Boba Refreshers, Krunch Shakes, Sparkling Lemonades, and Iced Coffees will be rolled out from test menus to permanent menus in Australia and Canada. The beverage program is designed to attract customers for refreshments throughout the day.

The first phase of the rollout will take place in the United Kingdom and Ireland, where customers will see new tenders, nine sauces, and refreshed branding. Additional launches are planned across Australia, the United States, and other international markets through 2026.

Next-Generation Restaurant Design

The global transformation of KFC doesn’t end at the menu. Starting this summer, the company will offer a new generation of restaurant designs. The emphasis is on hospitality, comfort, and spaces that are adaptable and can meet various customers’ needs throughout the day.

One of the first places to get the new look will be a restaurant in McKinney, Texas, which is expected to open later this summer. The design will be a blend of contemporary architecture and elements from KFC’s history.

A grander plan is in the works for Dubai with a new two-storey flagship restaurant due to open in the fall.

In addition to the restaurant renovations, KFC is revamping its brand presence on packaging, advertising, digital platforms, and in-store. The update features a re-imagined version of the chain’s famous bucket and enhanced updates to the Colonel Sanders image.

The company will use these designs and branding features in future restaurant openings and remodels as it continues to expand internationally throughout 2026.
