Olive Garden is heading to Riverbank, with a new location planned at 2101 Claribel Road as part of the fast-growing Crossroads West development at the corner of Claribel and Oakdale roads, according to a liquor license application filed with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The restaurant will be operated by Olive Garden Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of GMRI Inc., the restaurant operating arm of Darden Restaurants.
The news puts Olive Garden among a roster of major national names filling out Crossroads West, a 365,000-square-foot mixed-use retail center being built adjacent to the existing Crossroads Regional Center. Confirmed tenants at the new development include Costco, Trader Joe’s, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and Raising Cane’s, turning Riverbank’s Claribel corridor into one of the most anticipated retail buildouts in Stanislaus County.
Olive Garden is owned by Orlando-based Darden Restaurants, operates more than 900 locations across the United States and is one of the country’s largest casual dining chains. The brand is known for its endless breadsticks, unlimited soup and salad, and a family-friendly Italian-American menu that has made it a reliable anchor tenant for suburban retail centers. Whether it’s a weeknight dinner or a birthday celebration, Olive Garden has been the go-to for sit-down dining and comfort food at an accessible price point.
