Annie’s Mimosas, a breakfast and lunch restaurant in Placerville, is opening a second location in Folsom, with the owners hoping to open in January 2027. The new restaurant will take over the former Chant’el Cafe space at 1750 Prairie City Road, Suite 150, in the Folsom Corners shopping center.
Owners Victor and Ana Sanchez opened the first Annie’s Mimosas in 2019 at 155 Placerville Drive in Placerville, and they plan to keep that restaurant open. The Folsom location will be their second.
The new restaurant will take a different direction from the original. The Placerville location focuses on Mexican-style breakfast and lunch, while the Folsom menu will be American-style, with items such as waffles, omelettes, eggs Benedict and burgers. The couple chose that approach partly because another Mexican restaurant is already in Folsom Corners.
The space is about 2,220 square feet. It became available after Chant’el Cafe closed its Folsom Corners location last month.
Folsom Corners is also home to Salsa’s Taqueria, Belly Barbeque, Mylapore and Chicago’s Pizza Twist, so Annie’s Mimosas will add a breakfast and brunch option to the center’s lineup.
Sanchez, who lives in Shingle Springs, had been searching for a second location for about a year. Victor grew up in a restaurant family and has long wanted to open more restaurants, according to Ana.
Sacramento Business Journal reported first on this development.
