Bentos Express is coming soon to the Promenade Shopping Center at 7485 Rush River Drive, Suite 670, in Sacramento’s Pocket neighborhood. A sign posted inside the space announces the new restaurant, which is owned by Xuan Dai, but no opening date has been announced.
The restaurant is taking over the space that was home to Boba Meet Up, which Google lists as permanently closed. The suite is about 1,745 square feet, and the space is already set up for a restaurant. The name suggests a quick-service concept built around bento boxes, but the business hasn’t shared a menu yet.
Bentos Express will join other eateries in the center, which is anchored by Bel Air and CVS Pharmacy, including Mountain Mike’s Pizza and Bilao, a Filipino restaurant. Its next-door neighbor is Block Craft Beer + Kitchen, a restaurant and brewery that opened in May 2026 in the former Device Brewing space after that brewery closed all of its locations last year.
The center has also added NuYo Frozen Yogurt, a franchise started by a Sacramento native and owned locally by Tony Puccioni. The location is now open, and his brother, Andrew Puccioni, owns other NuYo locations in the area, including the ones planned for the Whitney Ranch shopping center in Rocklin and The Village in Elk Grove.
With several new openings in the last few months, the Promenade Shopping Center is filling out as a neighborhood spot for dining and desserts.
