A coffee concept with a heavy focus on community is getting ready to serve the DMV. Good Trouble Roasters is setting up shop in Arlington, bringing a new home for java to the neighborhood, reports ARLNow.

Set to open at 3800 Langston Boulevard, Good Trouble Roasters comes from Mike Greiner, the force behind Black Market Salsa. The demolition necessary to turn the space into the new cafe began relatively recently, and Greiner anticipates the concept will begin pouring its first cups at some point in August.

Good Trouble is named after a phrase made famous by civil rights icon John Lewis, reflective of Greiner’s aspirations for the establishment. He states: ‘I want to give back to my community. That’s my whole, kind of, ethos of the shop, is I want to provide something good.”

Good Trouble will be much more than a simple coffee shop. The concept will serve customers specialty java in the morning, followed by wine and beer in the afternoon and evening. Hungry visitors will be able to enjoy a sweet treat, provided by Heidelberg Pastry, alongside the beverage of their choice.

Listed hours on the website state that Good Trouble Roasters will be open from 7 am to 8 pm.

The cafe is sure to become an Arlington staple; Greiner expresses optimism about the place and time, saying: “I think we’re setting ourselves up for success, and I think this is going to be a great time to be opening there.”
