New Orleans landmark Broussard’s has changed hands, with QED Hospitality acquiring the historic French Quarter restaurant.

Located at 819 Conti Street, Broussard’s has been purchased by chef Brian Landry and hospitality executive Emery Whalen, the partners behind QED Hospitality according to NOLA.com.

The deal transfers ownership from Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts, which acquired Broussard’s in 2013 and invested approximately $1 million in renovations. According to reports, the sale also includes the restaurant’s existing staff.

Despite the change in ownership, Broussard’s will remain open, with no immediate plans for significant changes under its new operators.

Founded in 2017 by Landry and Whalen, QED Hospitality is a New Orleans-based restaurant management group that operates several well-known dining concepts, including Jack Rose, Bayou Bar, Hot Tin rooftop bar and Silver Whistle Café at the Pontchartrain Hotel. The company also manages restaurants and bars in Nashville.

Established in 1920, Broussard’s is one of the French Quarter’s oldest restaurants. Known for its Creole cuisine and historic courtyard, the landmark has remained a fixture of New Orleans’ dining scene for more than a century.
