In news certain to delight area coffee fanatics, the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen has given the greenlight for one of the hottest coffee concepts in the business to open a location in the neighborhood. 7 Brew Coffee has mitigated concerns about traffic back-ups and is moving forward with a new Collierville storefront, reports Daily Memphian.

The cafe’s proposed location north of Poplar Avenue near Abbington Street was initially greeted with reservations. The drive-thru nature of 7 Brew raised traffic concerns that gave planners pause. However the establishment has agreed to conditions designed to alleviate concern-for starters, this location will have 3 lanes for ordering and pickup, able to service up to 40 cars. Additionally, 7 Brew’s Collierville store will not accept walk-up orders and will have only four parking spaces.

7 Brew’s new Collierville location’s final site plan review was granted approval on June 22, a positive step forward for the coffee titan. The lot’s current tenant-a defunct Urgent Care for Children-still needs to be demolished before 7 Brew can take its new rightful place in the community.

Tim Heeren-the busy franchisee who has been pivotal to bringing 7 Brew to the Memphis area-kindly confirmed to What Now Memphis that he is optimistic that construction will begin in mid-to-late October.
