Sevy’s Grill Closed After 30 Years in Dallas

Sevy’s Grill announced its closure in late 2025, according to Culture Map Dallas. The owner said negotiations for a fourth 10-year lease at Preston Sherry Plaza ended without an agreement that worked for both parties.

The restaurant said that it was unable to renew its lease due to a change in ownership of the property. Reports also indicated that rising rent contributed to the restaurant’s closure.

The restaurant remained open for several months after the announcement, giving longtime patrons an opportunity to visit before its final day. Sevy’s Grill closed June 27, 2026, ending nearly 30 years at 8201 Preston Road.

Amy Severson launched a GoFundMe targeting $100,000 to help all employees cover living expenses and job searches. The campaign received support from community members looking to help the restaurant’s staff through the transition.
