Labubu’s First Major U.S. Exhibition Is Coming to NYC This Summer

The popular collectible character, Labubu, is getting its first major U.S. exhibition in New York City.

Labubu fans will soon have the chance to experience the character’s first major U.S. exhibition. The exhibition will feature large-scale displays, interactive installations, and exclusive collectibles.

Labubu is Getting Its First Major U.S. Exhibition This Summer

Pop Mart is bringing THE MONSTERS BY MONSTERS: NOW AND THEN to New York this summer. The exhibition features Labubu and other characters from The Monsters in an immersive setting. The event also commemorates the 10th anniversary of The Monsters, the fantasy universe created by Kasing Lung.

After successful stops in Shanghai, Taipei, Hong Kong, Paris, and Tokyo, the exhibition is making its way to New York. It will run from July 17 through August 31 at the Pop Mart New York flagship. This exhibition is also a chance for longtime collectors to purchase anniversary-exclusive Labubu collectibles.

According to Time Out, the exhibition will occupy a 6,000-square-foot space at the Pop Mart New York flagship. The exhibition is a milestone for both the artist and the franchise.

General admission to the exhibition starts at $20 for adults and $10 for children. General admission tickets include a commemorative gift. The VIP tickets are priced at $100 and include exclusive merchandise.

NYC Exhibition: What to Expect

Hypebeast notes that the Tokyo exhibition featured immersive themed environments that recreated the fantasy world of Labubu. Based on the Tokyo edition, visitors can expect oversized installations, themed rooms, and interactive displays in the NYC exhibition. The installations recreate the fantasy world inhabited by Labubu and the other Monsters characters.

According to a report by Average Socialite, the exhibition will also display rare artwork and collectibles that trace the evolution of The Monsters. It will feature limited-edition anniversary collectibles, plush toys, accessories, and exhibition-only merchandise. Visitors can also take part in interactive activities and themed photo opportunities throughout the venue.

The New York event marks Labubu’s first major U.S. exhibition as the character’s international popularity continues to grow.
