Nagaiki Ramen, an Okinawa-inspired concept specializing in abura soba (brothless ramen), is planning to debut in the Las Vegas Valley this year. According to a Clark County permit, the new Nagaiki Ramen eatery is expected to open in the Chinatown district of Las Vegas, within the Shanghai Plaza retail and dining complex at 4284 Spring Mountain Rd, Unit 106.
According to multiple reports and a quick drive in the area, the new Nagaiki Ramen is starting to get built. Signage indicates that the new restaurant will be taking over the former Noodle Nest space at Shanghai Plaza. What Now Las Vegas reached out to NAGAIKI RAMEN LV LLC managing partner and brand ambassador Steve Young to find out more details about the exciting new Chinatown addition and when exactly it will open. Unfortunately, we did not hear back from Young by the time of this publication.
“At Nagaiki Ramen, we believe that a long life is not just about the passing of years, but about the richness of each moment—much like the rings of a great tree, each layer telling a story of growth, resilience, and time well spent,” the Nagaiki Ramen website reads.
“‘Nagaiki’ (長生き) means longevity, a life lived with balance, health, and purpose.”
The brand’s recipe is inspired by the diet of Ōgimi Village in Okinawa—known as Japan’s “Longevity Village”—focusing on balanced, nutrient-dense, and flavorful ingredients.
Originating from Tokyo, Abura Soba dates back to post-World War II Japan, where it emerged as a quicker, lighter alternative to traditional ramen. Rather than relying on a heavy bone broth, the dish is built on a foundation of specialty soy-based sauces and blended oils mixed directly with the noodles.
The original Canadian branch in the West Edmonton Mall opened in November 2025. Nagaiki Ramen expanded internationally, eventually securing a location in Garden Grove, California, and New York before working its way to the Las Vegas Valley.
“Our brand draws inspiration from two enduring symbols of long life in Japanese culture: the crane and the pine tree,” the brand’s website reads.
“The crane, graceful and eternal, represents hope and vitality. The pine, steadfast through the seasons, stands for strength and enduring spirit. These symbols guide how we approach everything—from our ingredients to the experience we offer.”
Nagaiki Ramen features bowls typically priced between $16 – $19. Signature items include roasted beef or niku miso abura soba, along with appetizers like karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and takoyaki.
Nagaiki Ramen is anticipated to open in the Chinatown district of Las Vegas, within the Shanghai Plaza retail and dining complex at 4284 Spring Mountain Rd, Unit 106, later this year.
