According to public filings, Jersey Mike’s Subs  is planning to open at 344-B North Highway 175 in Seagoville. What Now Dallas spoke with franchisee Shezad Jiwani, who said the goal is to open before the end of the year.

Jersey Mike’s is known for its fresh-sliced meats and cheeses, subs made to order on freshly baked bread, and its signature “Mike’s Way”, with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, oil, vinegar, and spices. The menu also spans hot and cold subs, wraps, and bowls. Jiwani’s connection to the brand goes beyond this project. He said the brand’s reputation for quality and its commitment to giving back were key factors in his decision to join Jersey Mike’s. “Jersey Mike’s has a culture of giving back, and that’s something that’s very important to me personally,” Jiwani told What Now Dallas.

Seagoville’s growth and family-oriented character made it a natural fit for the brand. “Seagoville is a growing community with a strong family presence, and we felt there was an opportunity to bring a high-quality sandwich concept to the area,” Jiwani said. The site’s visibility along Highway 175 was also a factor, noting it would draw not just Seagoville residents but travelers from nearby communities like Crandall, Kaufman, Balch Springs and Mesquite.

Jiwani also credited the City of Seagoville for its support throughout the development process, saying city officials and staff have been “wonderful to work with” as the project continues to move forward.

This marks Jiwani’s first Jersey Mike’s, but he said it won’t be his last. “We have development rights in parts of Dallas and Ellis counties, and our goal is to continue growing throughout the area over the next several years,” he told What Now Dallas.

The Seagoville filing adds to a steady stream of Jersey Mike’s expansion across North Texas that What Now has tracked. What Now Dallas previously reported on a new Marsh Lane location under franchisee Mark Melendez, who also operates locations in McKinney and Allen, as well as a Cedar Hill location and an Oak Cliff storefront that grew out of an existing shop in the same neighborhood.
