Andia’s Ice Cream is planning to expand its footprint across the Triangle, with new locations targeted for mid-2027 and 2028, co-owner Andia Xouris confirmed to WhatNow Charlotte. The Cary-based company is currently evaluating opportunities throughout the region while also preparing to open a new production and office facility in Raleigh, according to the Triangle Business Journal.
“We’re looking just in the Triangle. That’s the only thing we know so far,” Xouris told WhatNow Charlotte, adding that no specific communities or addresses have been selected yet.
The family-owned brand currently operates three full-service shops — one in Raleigh and two in Cary — along with a pop-up location in Durham. Xouris said the Triangle remains the company’s focus because it is where the business began and continues to thrive.
“That’s where we started our business. It’s a thriving part of the country, and we love living here as well, so it’s a great opportunity to bring our local ice cream to our local market,” she said.
Known for its small-batch artisan ice cream, Andia’s has built a loyal neighborhood following by staying actively involved in the communities it serves through school fundraisers and children’s charities.
Supporting the company’s next phase of growth is a new 13,352-square-foot production, warehouse and office facility at 1519 Brookside Drive in Raleigh. The Triangle Business Journal reports the space will consolidate operations currently spread across multiple locations and provide enough production capacity to support future expansion while maintaining the company’s focus on quality over rapid growth.
Founded in Cary in 2017 by Andia and George Xouris, the company has grown to more than 90 employees and now operates retail locations in Cary and Raleigh, along with a Durham pop-up. The owners told the Triangle Business Journal they expect the new facility to help support up to 10 shops over time while preserving their handcrafted, small-batch approach.
“We’re very excited to be expanding in the Triangle, and we look forward to joining new neighborhoods and getting to know the communities we’ll be a part of,” Xouris told WhatNow Charlotte. “It’s an exciting time for our company.”
