Beloved Mi Camino Real Shuts Down Its Operations
Located at 408 W Sam Ridley Pkwy in Smyrna, Tennessee, Mi Camino Real Mexican Restaurant has confirmed its closure with an official announcement. The restaurant closed after 18 years in business. On July 21, the restaurant team shared, “We regret to inform you that we are permanently closed.”
The restaurant did not share any official reason for closure.
Following the closure announcement, several customers of the restaurant expressed their sadness on social media. One customer commented, “This breaks my heart!! Thank you to all the workers who are always the best when we’ve eaten there. Been eating there since it was Lazy Donkey!!”
“Oh no! You guys were absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in town. Really, really going to miss you all. You were a great staff, and I pray the best for you,” another customer wrote.

The restaurant built its reputation by serving traditional Mexican recipes. Along with that, it also included a bar and was well-known for offering margaritas, cocktails, and draft beers.
