A new destination for seafood lovers has arrived in Brooklyn. Zig Zag Oyster Bar opened on July 28 at 5 p.m. The new restaurant focuses on East Coast oysters, raw seafood, classic cocktails, and a wine list.

Brooklyn Welcomes Zig Zag Oyster Bar

Zig Zag Oyster Bar opened at 406 Prospect Place in Prospect Heights. The team behind Cervo’s, Hart’s, The Fly, and Eel Bar has brought the concept to local diners.

According to Resy New York, the restaurant is housed in the former Bar Meridian at the corner of Prospect Place and Grand Avenue. Nick Perkins, Leah Campbell, Niall Fallon, and Taylor Ward have worked to expand the group’s portfolio of Brooklyn and Lower East Side dining destinations.

Zig Zag has approximately 50 indoor seats and a patio area. While reservations are available for larger parties, a significant portion of the dining room and bar is designated for walk-in guests.

Local seafood dominates the menu at the oyster bar. Menu offerings include East Coast oysters, seafood towers, peel-and-eat shrimp, lobster salad, white fish salad on toast, cold roast chicken, and seasonal salads.

The menu also features rotating desserts like lemon torte and olive oil ice cream with Fernet. Classic cocktails, coastal-inspired wines from all over France and the islands of the Mediterranean, and a variety of beer complement the seafood offerings.
