Downtown Greensboro is slated to welcome a new coffee and cocktail destination this fall. Blendology, planned for 112 N. Elm Street, is targeting a September opening, with co-owner Rene Ramos confirming the plans to WhatNow Charlotte.
According to the Triad Business Journal, Blendology is being developed by husband-and-wife team Michell Reyes and Ramos. Inspired by Reyes’ Honduran heritage, the concept will combine specialty coffee, craft cocktails, and a community-focused atmosphere.
According to the publication, the couple has invested approximately $200,000 into the 1,500-square-foot space. After navigating permitting delays, the owners are now aiming to open in September and expect to begin hiring six to seven full- and part-time employees in August.
The menu will feature specialty coffee sourced from Reyes’ family’s coffee farm in Santa Rosa de Copán, Honduras, along with craft cocktails, mocktails, and other alcoholic beverages. Guests can also expect empanadas, pastries, and charcuterie-style offerings, according to the Triad Business Journal.
Plans also call for community events, including coffee-focused gatherings, in a space featuring handcrafted furniture built by Reyes’ father and décor sourced from Honduras, the Triad Business Journal reported. The owners envision Blendology as a place where people can gather over coffee or cocktails while experiencing a taste of Honduran culture.
If all goes according to plan, Blendology will open its doors this fall, bringing a new café and cocktail concept to the heart of downtown Greensboro.
