BrickTop’s is preparing to grow its Charlotte footprint with a second location planned for 3415 Toringdon Way in Ballantyne, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. The new restaurant is slated for the site formerly occupied by Red Robin, which has since been demolished.
The publication reports that an employee at BrickTop’s SouthPark restaurant confirmed the Ballantyne plans, while the company’s website lists the location as expected to open in spring 2027. City filings also show a land development plan submitted under the name “BrickTops Ballantyne,” calling for a new, smaller restaurant to be constructed on the retail center’s 0.38-acre outparcel.
Founded in Nashville in 2006, BrickTop’s has expanded to 11 locations across the South and Midwest, including its Charlotte restaurant at 6401 Carnegie Boulevard in SouthPark, which opened in 2007.
According to BrickTop’s website, the restaurant serves brunch, lunch and dinner with a menu focused on upscale American cuisine. Guests can choose from dishes such as prime rib, fresh sushi, sugar bacon deviled eggs, Shanghai shrimp, crab cakes, cedar plank salmon, sesame-crusted ahi tuna, steaks, burgers, barbecue ribs and chicken Milanese.
If the project proceeds on schedule, the Ballantyne restaurant will mark BrickTop’s second Charlotte location, bringing the concept’s signature American fare to another rapidly growing area of the city.
