A new restaurant aims to bring an upscale dining experience to Manhattan’s Financial District.
Solerum, owned by restaurateurs Eoin Foyle and Darren Shore, will open at the base of the luxury apartment building 2 Gold Street. The duo’s portfolio includes nearby restaurants Mexcali and The Malt House, along with Allswell in Sarasota, Florida.
Built in 2003, 2 Gold Street offers studio-to three-bedroom apartments with amenities including a heated lap pool, fitness center, coworking spaces, outdoor areas and resident lounges.
“The opening of Solerum at 2 Gold Street represents our continued investment in New York City and the Financial District, a neighborhood that has played an important role in the growth of our restaurant business. We’re proud to build on that foundation with a new concept that reflects our passion for exceptional hospitality and distinctive cuisine,” Foyle said in a statement.
While few details about Solerum have been released, the 4,744-square-foot restaurant plans to serve elevated dishes inspired by Hawaiian, Caribbean and Asian cuisines.
Diners can find restaurants focused on Asian or Caribbean cuisine throughout FiDi, but Solerum aims to stand out by blending all three culinary influences in one concept.
