APM Restaurant Group is expanding its growing South Florida footprint.
Just off the heels of earning Michelin Stars for its restaurants Emelina and Ogawa, the restaurant group, led by Alvaro Perez-Miranda, has announced it will open Niwa.
This new restaurant, located at 523 Park Place in West Palm Beach, will open this October, adjacent to Emelina.
Niwa, which means “garden” in Japanese, was created specifically for the West Palm Beach market.
The restaurant also represents the first collaboration between two of APM’s chefs: master sushi chef Masayuki Komatsu of Ogawa and chef Osmel Gonzalez of Emelina, whose restaurant became the first Cuban concept to earn a Michelin star. Together, the chefs have developed a menu that combines seafood sourced from Tokyo’s renowned Toyosu Fish Market with regional ingredients and Latin-inspired preparations.
Guests can expect dishes such as mojo-marinated wagyu, guarapo-braised black cod, Florida blue crab hand rolls, pristine nigiri, and delicate usuzukuri. An outdoor tea garden curated by Miami tea specialist JoJo Tea will further enhance the dining experience.
The opening of Niwa continues APM Restaurant Group’s expansion in Palm Beach County while showcasing the company’s commitment to innovative, chef-driven concepts. By pairing Japanese precision with Latin flavors in a garden-inspired setting, Niwa aims to offer West Palm Beach diners an experience unlike any other in the region.
