Calaveras Cantina is continuing its South Florida expansion with plans to open a new location at Mayla Pompano, adding its signature blend of elevated Mexican cuisine and craft cocktails to the growing mixed-use destination in Pompano Beach. The restaurant will occupy 6,402 square feet on the ground floor of the renovated office and retail building at 2335 E. Atlantic Boulevard. Mayla Pompano developer, Grover Corlew, shared the news in a press release. An exact opening date has not been announced.
Mayla Pompano combines luxury apartments, office space and neighborhood-serving retail as part of the ongoing transformation of the East Atlantic Boulevard corridor. The new Calaveras Cantina will feature an indoor-outdoor dining experience with warm wood finishes, aged brass accents, hand-finished tile and a lively atmosphere designed to encourage gathering and socializing.
Known for its bold Mexican flavors, handcrafted margaritas and extensive tequila selection, Calaveras Cantina currently operates restaurants in Jupiter and Boca Raton, with additional locations planned for Las Olas Marina in Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach, reflecting the brand’s rapid growth across South Florida. The concept, owned and operated by True Grit Hospitality, emphasizes fresh ingredients, house-made cocktails and an energetic dining experience inspired by the culture and traditions of Mexico.
