“Firefly Distillery plans to spread its wings,” reported CHSToday in June. The building it currently calls home, located at 4201 Spruill Ave is being sold. However, Firefly stresses, this is not the end of Firefly Distillery. In fact, it’s the beginning of a whole new chapter.
“Our current property is under contract to be sold, but make no mistake: Firefly is not closing and is not being sold,” says the Firefly Distillery website. “We are planning an exciting move to a new venue right here in Charleston where we will continue everything you love, including spirits production, our tasting room, gift shop, private events, and live music.”
The website emphasizes that Firefly Distillery intends to remain within “the Park Circle community that has embraced us so warmly.” This means the distillery will be able to design its own space “from the ground up as a world-class music and hospitality venue.”
Importantly: “Every currently scheduled event through December 2027 remains on the calendar exactly as planned.”
The transition is still “many months” away, but we’ll be on the lookout for any news of where the beloved distillery and event venue will be making its home next.
