A New Jersey bakery is preparing to make its New York City debut.

Dän Bakery & Cafe, owned by Anar and Arman Kozhabayev, is expanding to the Upper East Side with a new location at 1431 York Ave. The husband-and-wife team opened the bakery’s flagship in Morristown, New Jersey, and plans to debut another outpost in Hoboken.

“Now Dän is bringing the same handmade quality to New York City and Hoboken—two communities that deserve a bakery they can genuinely call their own. Same standards. Same warmth. New neighborhoods,” the website reads.

Dän Bakery & Cafe serves breakfast and lunch alongside an extensive pastry selection featuring cakes, cheesecakes, cupcakes, croissants, tiramisu, cookies, choux pastries, cinnamon rolls and pistachio rolls.

Everything is made fresh in-house using organically sourced ingredients, with a focus on handcrafted, home-style food.

To complement the menu, the cafe serves classic coffee, espresso drinks and cold brew, along with specialty teas such as “Tashkent Tea,” a blend of black and green tea infused with honey, mint, lemon and orange, and “Tary Tea,” a black tea blended with tary grain and milk.

An official opening date has not been set. The owner told Whatnow New York City the team is preparing for a soft opening, which will help determine the date of the grand opening.
