A new golf performance center built around elite coaching, cutting-edge technology, and a team approach to player development is coming to Allen. According to public filings, Dynamite Performance Golf plans to open at 105 W. Bethany, Suite 1130, within the MonkeySports building.
What Now Dallas reached out to founder Scott Shaffer, who confirmed the opening is targeted for early September 2026, pending final permits.
Shaffer has been involved in golf for most of his life. His father, who loved the sport, introduced him to the game when he was four years old. “I’ve always had a golf club in my hand ever since I can remember. I probably started playing at the age of four,” he told What Now Dallas.
He was also the former Director of Instruction at Gleneagles Country Club and spent years coaching at top golf academies in Central Florida.
The concept came to life after Shaffer noticed a gap in the DFW market. “I noticed there wasn’t a performance center with two putting greens, a PuttLab, a gym, and Gears 3D, and the type of technology and coaching we’re going to have available here,” Shaffer said.
Dynamite Performance Golf operates on a team coaching philosophy. Shaffer is joined by business partner Brennan Little, a PGA Tour caddie who works with Gary Woodland; putting specialist Blair Phillip, who coaches tour players using Quintic technology and builds custom putters on site; John Yarbrough, a PGA Tour caddie who has worked with Phil Mickelson and provides course strategy coaching; and fitness instructor Mike Laird, who will run assessments and classes in the center’s full gym.
“It’s really difficult for a coach to do everything that’s required for a golfer to perform and play well. The team approach creates a fun culture while helping people get better,” Shaffer told What Now Dallas.
The facility will also offer Gears 3D motion capture for club fitting and swing analysis, one of the most advanced systems available in the industry. “If you want to get better and get better fast, we’re the place for the highest-quality coaching probably in DFW,” Shaffer said.
Future locations in Boston and Los Angeles are on the radar, though Shaffer said the focus right now is on getting the Allen location right first.
