The Tennessee Department of Health conducted a routine health inspection at Foodcorner on August 3. The inspection report identified several health code violations, including missing handwashing supplies, improperly stored food items, and fruit fly activity. The restaurant received a score of 78 following the inspection.

Foodcorner is a fast-casual restaurant that serves pizzas, wings, and gyros. According to the inspection report, the violations included the following:
- The handwashing sink in the back area did not have soap, and staff were instructed to provide soap during the inspection. The front area handwashing sink also lacked soap or paper towels, and the 3-compartment sink had no sanitizer available.
- The report instructed staff to provide the required soap, paper towels, and sanitizing supplies at the handwashing and 3-compartment sinks.
- The inspection found open containers of hummus, cooked gyro meat, and cooked chicken that had been prepared more than 24 hours earlier without date markings. The staff was advised to mark the foods with the correct date.
- The report noted that a cheesecake was kept in a Pepsi cooler without date marking. The item was moved from the freezer to the cooler 3 days ago. Staff were advised to label the cheesecake and were provided guidance on properly dating ready-to-eat dairy products.
- The inspection report noted that the restaurant did not have working thermometers in the glass-door cooler, back chest freezer, and white chest freezer.
- The inspection also observed multiple fruit flies throughout the kitchen and near the open floor drain in the dough-making area.

- An in-use knife was stored between the prep table and prep cooler, and to-go plates were kept on the shelf and not stored upside down. Excessive water condensation buildup was found in the prep cooler.
- The report stated that the restaurant staff was dumping the mop water outside in the grass. The restaurant was instructed to use the mop sink to dump mop water.
- Debris buildup was noted behind the dumpster, and the grease trap was leaking waste onto the ground.
- A leak from the air vent near the pizza-making station and a leak from the ceiling above the 3-compartment sink on the wash side of the basin were also observed.
- The restaurant did not post the most recent inspection report.

Follow-Up Inspection

Due to its unsatisfactory condition, the restaurant received a low score during inspection. The restaurant was instructed to correct the cited violations before requesting a reinspection. A follow-up inspection will be conducted to verify compliance.
