A Popular Brazilian Steakhouse Opens Its First Gilbert Location Near SanTan Village

Fogo de Chão has opened its first restaurant in Gilbert, celebrating the occasion with donations and more.

Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão has opened its first location in Gilbert. The new restaurant is located near SanTan Village at 2134 S. SanTan Village Parkway. The Gilbert restaurant marks Fogo de Chão’s second Arizona location, following its Scottsdale restaurant.

According to GlobeNewswire, the new restaurant opened on August 3 with a grand celebration. Fogo de Chão is donating 10% of its first week’s sales to St. Anne Friends of the Needy, a local nonprofit providing emergency food boxes.

“We’re thrilled to continue our growth in Arizona with our new location in Gilbert,” said Barry McGowan, CEO of Fogo de Chão. He added that the company looks forward to welcoming both new and returning guests while sharing its Brazilian churrasco tradition.

The Gilbert location is led by General Manager Merhawit Keleta. She has been with Fogo since 2004 and previously managed the Scottsdale restaurant. The restaurant is expected to create more than 100 local jobs in Gilbert.

What to Expect at the New Restaurant

Fogo de Chão Gilbert is designed in partnership with architecture and design agency Innovation & Design in Architecture. The restaurant features an open churrasco grill where chefs prepare and carve fire-roasted meats. It offers the Market Table, Bar Fogo for all-day happy hour, and private dining spaces.

The menu centers on fire-roasted cuts, including guest favorites like bone-in ribeye, lamb chops, and picanha. The Full Churrasco Experience is the signature prix-fixe menu selection that includes all premium and classic cuts. It also includes fresh and seasonal Market Table & Feijoada Bar and authentic Brazilian side dishes.

The Indulgent Churrasco Experience offers guests their choice of enhancement and a decadent dessert. This is in addition to the Market Table and Brazilian side dishes.

The weekday lunch starts at $18 and includes the seasonal Market Table and Feijoada Bar along with Brazilian side dishes. Guests can choose to add a single cut of fire-roasted meat or have the Full Churrasco Experience.

The weekend Brazilian brunch offers churrasco and brunch favorites. The menu also includes indulgent cuts such as Wagyu New York strip, Tomahawk Ribeye, and Wagyu Ribeye.

Fogo de Chão Gilbert includes vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian menu options. It offers takeout, catering, and private dining services. Children six and under eat free, while children ages 7 to 12 receive 50% off the Full Churrasco Experience.

Fogo de Chão continues its expansion in Arizona with the opening of its first location in Gilbert.
