The Atlanta Beltline is Hosting a Housing Fair

The Atlanta Beltline will host a free event on August 8 to connect residents with housing resources. The Housing Fair will take place at Monday Night Garage, 933 Lee St. SW, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees can meet housing organizations, attend workshops, receive consultations, and more.

The fair will highlight the recently launched Atlanta Beltline Mortgage Assistance Program. The program is in partnership with Invest Atlanta. It provides down payment assistance to eligible legacy residents and public sector employees. It is for people purchasing homes within the Beltline Tax Allocation District on Atlanta’s west and south sides.

The Housing Fair supports the Beltline’s broader affordable housing efforts. The organization has created or preserved 4,555 affordable housing units. It has reached 81% of its goal of 5,600 affordable homes by 2030.

The Atlanta Beltline is one of the largest urban redevelopment projects in the U.S. It is transforming a historic 22-mile railroad corridor into a network. The network will include multi-use trails, parks, future transit, affordable housing, and public spaces connecting dozens of Atlanta neighborhoods.

Resources and Partners Available On-Site

According to a RoughDraft Atlanta, the event will be attended by representatives of various organizations. This includes those from Atlanta Beltline, Atlanta Beltline Partnership, Invest Atlanta, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta Housing, Atlanta Land Trust, and more.

Visitors can learn about buying a first home, financial assistance, and renting along the Beltline. The Housing Fair will serve as a one-stop resource for navigating available housing programs.

The Housing Fair offers Atlanta residents an opportunity to connect with housing experts. They can explore available assistance programs and learn about affordable homeownership and rental options.
