Wawa has announced that its Murfreesboro store at 5208 Veterans Parkway will officially open on September 10, according to WSMV4. The location is one of three Middle Tennessee stores scheduled to debut over the coming weeks as the Pennsylvania-based convenience retailer continues expanding its footprint across the state.
According to WSMV4, the Murfreesboro opening follows a Dickson location set to open on August 26 and a Lebanon store opening on September 2. Each grand opening will begin with an 8:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
According to Wawa’s website, the company was founded in 1964 and has grown into a privately held convenience retailer with more than 1,100 stores across 10 states and Washington, D.C. Wawa’s menu features built-to-order hoagies, breakfast sandwiches, burgers, pizza, salads, coffee, specialty beverages and other grab-and-go items, alongside fuel services.
WSMV4 reports that Wawa expects to have as many as seven stores operating in Tennessee by the end of 2026. The company also plans to open more than 50 locations statewide over the next decade, with each new store representing an investment of more than $7.5 million and creating approximately 35 long-term jobs.
