Ryan and Matthew Poli, the brothers behind iggy’s, are preparing to open Claymore, a neighborhood steakhouse at 622 Hamilton Avenue in Wedgewood-Houston, according to Nashville Music City. The approximately 60-seat restaurant is expected to debut in 2027 and will mark the duo’s second concept in the neighborhood.
According to Nashville Music City, Claymore will be located just down the hill from iggy’s and will build on the brothers’ hospitality-focused approach with carefully sourced ingredients, attentive service, and a beverage program designed to complement the menu.
Nashville Music City reports that the restaurant’s menu will center on prime steaks, alongside creative salads and elevated steakhouse sides. Sommelier Matthew Poli will oversee the beverage program, which is expected to feature bold red wines from a mix of Old World producers and emerging wine regions, as well as classic cocktails, premium spirits, an extensive whiskey selection, house-made modifiers, and spirit-free offerings.
“We’ve called Wedgewood-Houston home for three years and are committed to the growth of this vibrant community now more than ever,” Chef Ryan Poli said in a statement shared by Nashville Music City. “We’re so grateful for what iggy’s has become, and we’re excited it’s finally time to share something new.”
Matthew Poli said in the release that Claymore will continue the hospitality-first philosophy that has guided the brothers’ work while introducing a neighborhood steakhouse experience they are passionate about bringing to Wedgewood-Houston.
Additional details, including a specific opening date and the full menu, will be announced in the coming months.
