Ono Hawaiian BBQ is opening a new restaurant on Carmel Mountain Road. The fast-casual chain is expected to welcome guests on August 13, 2026. Guests can join for a day full of dance performances and exciting promotions.
Ono Hawaiian BBQ to Open Third San Diego County Location
Located at 11846 Carmel Mountain Road, the restaurant will become Ono Hawaiian BBQ’s third location in San Diego County.
The menu features Hawaiian-inspired plate lunches, grilled meats, and other island-inspired dishes. To celebrate the grand opening, Ono Hawaiian BBQ will be holding an all-day Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion.
The celebration will also include a Hawaiian dance performance, and a raffle awarding twenty guests a $100 Ono Promo Card.

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is known for offering island-inspired flavors and freshly prepared meals. The menu at the restaurant will feature BBQ Chicken, tender BBQ Beef, Kalbi Short Ribs, spicy Island Fire Chicken, and crispy Chicken Katsu.
The restaurant will also serve seafood options and island specialties, along with steamed rice and creamy macaroni salad.
Ono Hawaiian BBQ Co-Founder and CEO Joshua Liang said San Diego has been a welcoming community for the brand as it prepares to open its third location in the county. “We look forward to introducing even more guests to our freshly prepared plate lunches and celebrating this next chapter with the food, hospitality and aloha spirit that have defined Ono for more than two decades,” said Liang.
Founded in 2002, Ono Hawaiian BBQ now operates more than 130 locations across California and Arizona. The new opening shows the brand’s growth in Southern California, offering reasonable value and hospitality to the communities.
