Mr. Greek, a Greek restaurant chain serving Mediterranean-inspired dishes, is planning four new Ontario locations in Toronto, at 3343 Yonge Street and 60 Weston Road, as well as in Erin and Windfields in Oshawa.
The company lists all locations as coming soon on its website, with specific opening dates not announced yet. The chain currently lists 16 open locations across Toronto, Mississauga, Aurora, Brampton, Barrie, Pickering, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, and Whitby. Customers can expect the chain’s existing menu of Greek and Mediterranean dishes, including souvlaki, gyros, kebabs, salads, seafood, pita meals, and sides.
The restaurant’s menu includes chicken, pork, and lamb souvlaki; traditional beef and lamb gyros; chicken gyros; beef kebabs; and grilled chicken. Other entrées include grilled salmon, grilled and fried calamari, butterfly shrimp, falafel, and a veggie plate. Customers can also order Greek salads, village salads, spanakopita, saganaki, hummus, tzatziki, and various pita options.
For larger groups, Mr. Greek offers family meals, including a Souvlaki Feast for 15 and a Souvlaki Feast for 30, along with trays of rice, potatoes, Greek salad, grilled pita, and souvlaki sticks. The menu also includes desserts such as baklava and gourmet cookies. Beverages include bottled soft drinks, iced tea, mineral water, juices, and Mr. Greek spring water.
Mr. Greek says the company began in 1988 as a family restaurant in Toronto’s Greektown on the Danforth. The company says it prepares meals fresh to order using premium ingredients, without added MSG, tenderizers, or preservatives, with locations making menu items from scratch each morning. The four planned locations will add to the company’s existing Ontario footprint as it continues to expand across the province.
