Brooklyn Brewery is moving to a larger space, closing its current location. The brewery will mark the final days at its longtime home with a farewell party. The Williamsburg location has been home to the brewery for about three decades.
Brooklyn Brewery to Close Longtime Williamsburg Location
Brooklyn Brewery is closing its 79 N 11th Street location. The company is moving four blocks from its current location to a new space. The new location is expected to be nearly four times larger than the existing brewery and tasting room.
The company announced the closure of its current location on social media. The brewery is also hosting events through August to mark the final days at the Williamsburg location.
According to the brewery’s announcement distributed through PRNewswire, the new location will offer more space for brewing, food, events, and community activities. It will feature a full kitchen developed by Chef Michael Ayoub, founder of Fornino. The menu will focus on pizza and other dishes that pair well with Brooklyn Brewery beers.
The new location will have a larger bar program, offering beer, wine, cocktails, and other drinks. It will include a large main hall on the ground floor with a bar, retail shop, and different seating areas. Large windows and doors will create an indoor-outdoor atmosphere. A fourth-floor terrace bar that will offer views of Brooklyn, along with plenty of seating and greenery.
The expanded facilities will allow the brewery to produce more small-batch and experimental beers. The expansion will also allow brewery tours, guided tastings, and other experiences to return. The new location will begin with a soft opening in late summer, followed by a grand opening in fall 2026.

Farewell Party and Historical Significance
Brooklyn Brewery is celebrating the farewell to its home for 30 years with a special event. On August 29, the brewery will pack up for the last time with fresh beer and live music from Tony & The Kiki. The party will serve as the last day of operations at the current location.
Brooklyn Brewery was founded by Steve Hindy and Tom Potter in 1988. It helped bring Brooklyn’s brewing industry back to life after years of decline. It has become one of the best-known U.S. craft breweries and has helped reestablish Brooklyn as a brewing destination.
The move will bring an end to Brooklyn Brewery’s roughly 30-year run at its Williamsburg location.
