Pataaka to Open in Midtown Atlanta

Pataaka set to open in Midtown Atlanta on August 22. Atlanta-based Chef Anish Nair is the executive chef and partner of the new modern Indian restaurant. The restaurant is located at 1020 Spring St NW, where Chef Nair brings over 25 years of culinary experience.
Chef Nair will combine traditional Indian recipes with his experience in New American and French cooking. The name “Pataaka” means “firecracker” in Hindi, reflecting the restaurant’s lively approach to dining
The restaurant is designed by Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry. It will have seating for 114 guests, an outdoor patio, and a private dining space on the mezzanine level. The two-story restaurant will feature warm terracotta and amber tones, large arched windows, banquette seating, and a central bar.
Pataaka will be located at the base of Spring Quarter. The mixed-use development is also home to several other restaurants, including ISHIN by Ito, Celestia, Sozou, and Habaneros.
Highlights of the Menu and Bar Program

The restaurant will serve small plates and larger dishes inspired by regional Indian cuisine, along with modern cocktails. The menu is designed for sharing. It will include dishes such as the Chulbule Jhinga Tart with spiced prawns, Oysters Rockefeller with paneer and fennel, and Lamb Empanadas.
Larger dishes will include Slow-Braised Lamb Shank, Old Delhi Butter Chicken, and Shrimp Malvani. Guests can also expect soups, salads, sides, house-made naan, chutneys, and desserts such as Gulab Jamun Pie and Cardamom Crème Brûlée.
The drink menu, led by Beverage Director Prrateek Chaudhary, will feature signature cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and dessert cocktails. Many of the drinks are inspired by different places and experiences from Chaudhary’s life in India. Highlights include the Whiskey Thandai, Rajni, and Puchka cocktails.
Pataaka is set to bring a new dining experience to Midtown Atlanta.
