Black Rock Coffee Bar plans two additional San Diego County locations at 12660 Poway Road in Poway and 1525 Palm Ave. in San Diego.

License records from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality list Black Rock Coffee Bar at the Poway address. This location previously housed a KFC restaurant that has since closed. The filing does not include an opening date, and Black Rock has not added the location to its online directory.

Black Rock included the Palm Avenue shop in a September 4 announcement. The location is expected to open in November.

The chain currently operates one location in the city of San Diego at 2669 Garnet Ave. It also has stores elsewhere in the county, including Escondido, Oceanside, and Vista.

Black Rock is also preparing to open at 5335 Overland Ave. in Kearny Mesa in October, as previously reported by What Now San Diego.

The Black Rock menu includes coffee and espresso drinks, cold brew, teas, protein drinks, and customizable Fuel Energy beverages. Food options include breakfast burritos, egg bites, sandwiches, bagels, muffins, and other baked goods.

Founded in Beaverton, Oregon, in 2008, Black Rock has grown from a small drive-thru coffee stand to more than 150 company-owned locations across multiple states.
