1933 Lounge by St. Elmo could be coming to The Gilmore near Val Vista Drive and Germann Road in Gilbert. Arizona Realtor Jessie Vukobratovich identified the restaurant as a possible tenant in an Instagram post.
1933 Lounge is strictly 21+. The restaurant takes its name from December 5, 1933, the day Prohibition ended in the United States. Its first location opened above St. Elmo Steak House in downtown Indianapolis. Three others now operate in Carmel, Fishers, and at Indianapolis International Airport.
At its Carmel location, steaks take up much of the dinner menu. Other options include St. Elmo shrimp cocktail, sushi rolls, lobster grilled cheese, and seafood pasta. The bar pours cocktails and carries wine and whiskey.
Indianapolis-based group Huse Culinary operates 1933 Lounge. The company’s restaurant businesses also include St. Elmo Steak House, Harry & Izzy’s, and The HC Tavern + Kitchen.
Huse Culinary has not released more information about the possible Gilbert location, including its space at The Gilmore or an anticipated opening timeline. What Now Phoenix reached out to Huse Culinary for additional details, and this article may be updated as more information becomes available.
