Aamrai Indian Kitchen & Bar plans to open a restaurant in Bothell, according to a social media announcement. Chef and co-founder Rupesh Naik told What Now Seattle the team is targeting the second week of October. An exact address has not yet been announced.

Naik and his wife, Archana, founded Aamrai. The company operates at 1802 Bellevue Ave. in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and at 1938 U.S. 45 Bypass in Jackson, Tennessee. The Bothell restaurant would be Aamrai’s third location and its second in Washington.

Naik started cooking professionally in Mumbai more than 20 years ago. He later worked as a chef and pastry chef at Hotel Leela, ITC Grand Maratha, Oberoi, and Hyatt

The Seattle restaurant is open every day, and its menu also includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. Customers can dine in or order food for pickup or delivery. Aamrai also caters private parties and serves cocktails.

It’s not certain whether the Bothell restaurant will have the same menu and services as Aamrai’s Seattle location.

What Now Seattle reached out to Rupesh Naik, and this article may be updated as more information becomes available. In the meantime, follow Aamrai Indian Kitchen & Bar on Instagram for updates.
