A steak done right experience could be heading to Hays County. According to public filings, LongHorn Steakhouse plans to build a new restaurant at 19889 IH 35 in Kyle.
Longhorn Steakhouse was founded in Atlanta. The chain is known for its grilled steaks cooked fresh to eat, never frozen and grilled by experts. The ground-up project, will span 5,780 square feet and include a parking lot, landscaping, dumpster enclosure, and all utilities.
What Now Dallas reached out to LongHorn Steakhouse representatives to inquire about the opening timeline, but did not receive an answer prior press time.

What Now Dallas covered a Mansfield restaurant, and What Now San Antonio reported on a location at Peñitas Crossing opening alongside an Olive Garden, confirmed by Darden construction manager Jim Powell. What Now Houston also reported on the brand’s first Texas City restaurant, expected by early 2027.
The Kyle site sits along a stretch of I-35 that has drawn steady restaurant activity. What Now Austin has previousyly reported on Chicken Salad Chick at 19037 I-35, Lupe Tortilla at 19149 I-35, and Kyoka Sushi, all within the same corridor.
