Steven Madden has been in the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip for more than a decade. The popular shoe store is now closed due to renovations. A sign outside the store in the Fashion Show Mall says that the brand will reopen at the mall at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd S this fall.

The Steve Madden store in the Fashion Show Mall closed last month. No word yet on when exactly the renovated storefront will reopen.

What Now Las Vegas briefly spoke with Steve Madden’s Executive Vice President, Lauren Wilner, to find out more about the closure, renovations, and reopening. Wilner confirmed the reopening but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

“From a factory in Queens, Steve Madden set out to disrupt the shoe game, blending bold design with a sharp instinct for what people want to wear,” the Steve Madden website reads.

“Rooted in New York and inspired by music and street culture, his vision has always been about individuality. Creating on-trend styles for men and women who want to stand out.”

Steve Madden founded his eponymous footwear company in 1990 with just $1,100, selling chunky platform shoes out of the trunk of his car to small Manhattan boutiques. The unique, rock-and-roll-inspired chunky designs caught on fast with designers like Betsey Johnson. Madden opened his first retail store in SoHo in 1993 and took the company public the same year.

The brand later expanded into apparel, handbags, fragrances, and high-profile celebrity collaborations with stars like Cardi B and Sydney Sweeney. Annual net sales surpassed $1.9 billion.

There are now approximately 549 Steve Madden retail stores worldwide, with around 171 locations across the United States. There are five in Nevada, all in Las Vegas, including the Fashion Show Mall location on the Las Vegas Strip.

Steve Madden at the Fashion Show Mall at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd S is anticipated to reopen this fall.
