Burger Republic is set to open a new location at Nashville International Airport as part of the airport’s $855 million Concourse A renovation, according to The Tennessean. The Nashville gourmet hamburger restaurant will be among the new food and beverage concepts planned for the expanded concourse, which is scheduled to open in 2028.

The restaurant was included in a slate of future tenants presented by BNA Vice President of Concessions Lisa Leyva during a Metro Nashville Airport Authority meeting, publication reported. The airport authority board is expected to vote on approval of the new subleases during its regular September meeting.

According to The Tennessean, Burger Republic will be located further down Concourse A, joining other Nashville-area concepts selected for the airport expansion. The new lineup also includes Chief’s, the Broadway concept associated with Eric Church, as well as Hawkers, which operates a location in East Nashville. Burger Republic’s addition continues BNA’s emphasis on bringing local businesses into its concessions program rather than relying primarily on national chains.

The upcoming airport location comes as BNA undertakes a significant expansion designed to accommodate continued passenger growth. The Tennessean also reported that the Concourse A renovation will increase the concourse from six gates to 16, with the airport expected to reach 70 operable gates once the project is complete in 2028.

For Burger Republic, the airport location will add another setting for the Nashville-born burger concept while placing it within one of the city’s busiest travel hubs. The restaurant is expected to open alongside the other newly announced Concourse A tenants as the airport’s expansion moves toward its 2028 completion.
