Last month, the City of Largo approved leases for two restaurants to open at the upcoming mixed-use development Horizon West Bay: a new Dead Bob’s restaurant (see What Now’s coverage here) and a new Bocelli Modern Italian.
Located at 5427 Bayshore Blvd in Tampa, Bocelli serves “Fresh Ingredients. Killer Comfort Food.”
“At Bocelli Modern Italian we provide a unique dining experience bringing you a mix of traditional Italian cuisine and modern dishes that we make with the freshest and finest ingredients,” the Bocelli website says.
Like the new Dead Bob’s, Bocelli Modern Italian will open in 2027, according to a press release.
“The restaurant specializes in traditional Italian cuisine with modern influences, using fresh ingredients and featuring pasta made fresh in-house and brick-oven pizzas,” says the announcement on Largo.com. “The new Largo restaurant is planned to feature an open-kitchen concept, private dining space for parties and corporate dinners, takeout and delivery options, and a full-liquor bar.”
Together, the two restaurants constitute “another milestone for Horizon West Bay and the City’s continued investment in creating a vibrant, active downtown destination.”
The Bocelli menu in Tampa ranges from Antipasti like Arancini and Bruschetta to Secondi like Chicken Marsala, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Chicken Burrata Milanese (Chicken cutlet, mixed greens, confit heirloom tomatoes, prosciutto, burrata, basil oil, balsamic). You’ll also find plenty of salad choices and pasta dishes like Cavatelli Alla Vodka, Fettuccine Alfredo, and more.
“Welcoming these two restaurants to Horizon West Bay is an exciting step forward in our vision for Downtown Largo,” said Mayor Woody Brown. “Our community wants downtown to be a place where people come not only to do business, but also to enjoy a meal, spend time with friends and family, and connect with their community. Bocelli Modern Italian and Dead Bob’s will bring new dining experiences and energy to West Bay Drive, and we look forward to welcoming them to Largo.”
