The suburb’s dining scene is continuing to grow this year.
Casa Pasha is a new dining concept coming soon to 6920 N Rochester Road. This is being debuted by Detroit Chef James Henry, and takes over the former Dime Store brunch space. The restaurant is set to open in a few weeks pending approvals.
Henry has been working on the project with owner Brandon Rubenstein for about seven months. The concept is a traditional chophouse, with French and Japanese flavors infused. Ingredients are sourced from Japan and other parts of Asia.
“Casa Pasha introduces a fresh approach to upscale dining, blending Japanese inspiration with premium steaks, expertly prepared seafood, signature sushi, and classic experiences,” says the description on their website.
Fresh wagyu steak will be one of the main draws, along with sushi with bluefin tuna. The team also plans on serving high-end cocktails to accompany the entrees. A full menu will be released closer to the opening.
Henry has established himself as a successful Detroit chef, previously working at Olin Bar + Kitchen in downtown Detroit. He was also culinary chef at Fillipa in Shelby Township.
The restaurant is moving in next to Papa Joe’s grocery store. Other dining options in the plaza include Old Detroit Bar and Grille Rochester Hills, Ginza Ramen and La Collina Ristorante Italiano. This is a few blocks north of downtown Rochester.
