A new salon and spa will soon bring hair, beauty, and wellness services to the northwest suburbs of Boston.
SAIBA Hair Salon & Spa is preparing to open at 135 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, according to recent social media updates from the business. Founder Sahis Shahi told What Now Boston that the salon is currently working toward a fall opening, with the official date to be announced as construction progresses.
With the help of her husband, Samik, Sahis aims to create a “beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming” environment where guests of all ages can enjoy personalized beauty and wellness services. The salon is built around a simple philosophy, she said: “Love All, Serve All.”
SAIBA will welcome women, men, children, seniors, and families, with offerings ranging from everyday beauty appointments to more indulgent self-care. Guests can expect haircuts and styling, hair color and treatments, facials and other skincare services, threading and brow services, makeup for everyday looks and special occasions, and spa treatments, including a signature herbal oil massage.
For Sahis, SAIBA is the realization of a dream she has carried for years. The salon’s name holds a particularly personal meaning, honoring the people who have shaped her life, including her mother, godparents, and grandmother, whom Sahis calls “Aama” and who raised her from the age of one. “It represents love, family, strength, and gratitude, and is also a tribute to all mothers,” Sahis explained.
Samik has also played an important role throughout the process, helping Sahis navigate the many steps involved in opening the new salon and turning their plans into reality. The couple hopes SAIBA will become a welcoming addition to the Lexington community.
“SAIBA has been a dream of mine for many years, built on faith, patience, and a passion for beauty,” Sahis said. “With my husband’s love and support, we are creating a space that reflects our shared values and commitment to the community. Our philosophy, Love All, Serve All, reflects the heart of everything we hope to create.”
