Hudson House is preparing to make its San Antonio debut with a new restaurant planned for 5307 Broadway in Alamo Heights, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records.
The Dallas-based restaurant concept is planned for a 6,510-square-foot space within an existing shell building at 5307 Broadway. The project, listed under TABS2027001391, has an estimated construction cost of $1.675 million.
According to the filing, construction is scheduled to begin November 1, 2026, with completion targeted for April 30, 2027. The work will involve an interior tenant remodel to transform the existing building into a new restaurant.
The property is owned by 5307 Broadway, Ltd., with Adam Bailey listed as the tenant for the project. Jones Baker Design is handling the design, while Jeffrey A. Gutknecht is listed as the registered accessibility specialist.
The upcoming restaurant would mark Hudson House’s first San Antonio location. The East Coast-inspired concept was founded in Dallas in 2017 and is part of Vandelay Hospitality Group, the Dallas-based restaurant company founded by Hunter Pond.
Hudson House describes its concept as combining East Coast-inspired food with the atmosphere of a neighborhood gathering place. Its menu includes East Coast oysters, sushi and raw-bar selections, salads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees and desserts, along with cocktails and its signature “World’s Coldest Martini.”
Some of the restaurant’s menu offerings include its cheeseburger, chicken Parmesan, tuna tower and raw-bar selections such as shrimp cocktail, snow crab claws and tuna tartare. Hudson House also offers weekend brunch at select locations, with dishes including eggs Benedict and chicken and waffles.
The brand currently has restaurants across Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, including locations in Highland Park, Lakewood, Addison, Las Colinas, Preston Hollow, Frisco, West Village, Southlake, Fort Worth, River Oaks and Rice Village.
Vandelay Hospitality Group’s portfolio also includes other restaurant concepts, and the company says it focuses on creating restaurants centered around hospitality, craftsmanship and a timeless atmosphere.
The Alamo Heights restaurant will be part of the redevelopment of the property at 5307 Broadway, which previously housed a Nix Health facility. The upcoming Hudson House is expected to bring the brand’s East Coast-inspired menu, raw bar and cocktail program to the San Antonio area.
While construction is expected to run through April 2027, an official opening date has not been announced.
