Ovens are being turned on at a new location for the baking company.
Fenton-based Crust restaurant and bakery is coming to downtown Howell at 203 W Grand Avenue. This will again serve breads, pastries, breakfast and lunch items for the community. Co-owner Chad Brennan told What Now Detroit he is anticipating a February opening date.
“We are about to embark on the construction phase, and that will determine the exact date,” Chad said.
The baking company was first opened by Brennan and his wife, Marybeth in 2012, and currently serves downtown Fenton at 104 W Caroline Street. They also serve at the Fenton Farmers’ Market on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The Fenton spot is far from just a bakery, as the location has a full breakfast and lunch menu, coffees, smoothies, and drinks in the evening like wine, beer and cocktails. For lunch, salads, soup and sandwiches are popular items. New menu items for the Howell spot haven’t been revealed yet.
Crust will operate at the intersection of S Walnut Street, next to Howell’s Mainstreet Winery. Tin Tusks Taqueria also operates at this location. Howell is just west of Brighton off Interstate 96.
Chad and the team will be updating the community about the new location on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
