Guests won’t need to travel to Italy to experience the flavors of the Amalfi Coast, as a new Italian restaurant is coming to Philadelphia’s Bella Vista neighborhood.
Ravello, owned by brothers Florin and Marco Matranxhi, will open at 738 S. 11th St. in the former Two Robbers Spirit Co. space. The duo is no stranger to Italian cuisine, as they also own Adoro, a BYOB restaurant in Queen Village.
The new restaurant will explore a different side of Italy while carrying over the same passion for food and hospitality found at Adoro.
“Ravello is a peaceful hill town perched above the Amalfi Coast in the province of Salerno, Italy. We chose the name because it represents the beauty, tranquility, and timeless character of the Amalfi Coast. We wanted to bring that same feeling to Philadelphia,” a spokesperson told Whatnow Philadelphia.
The interior will feature a “warm, elegant and inviting space” designed to capture the charm of Italy.
The menu, still in development, will feature authentic Italian preparations and dishes inspired by traditional techniques, including homemade pasta. The team plans to source ingredients locally while importing select Italian products to create authentic flavor profiles.
The brothers look forward to welcoming the Bella Vista community to Ravello.
“Ravello is more than just a second location—it is a new chapter for the Matranxhi family. We are excited to create a place where people can gather, make memories, and feel welcomed,” the spokesperson said.
The team said there is still “a lot happening behind the scenes” as they work to ensure “every detail is right” before welcoming guests. An official opening date will be announced once final preparations are complete.
