J.Crew Factory is planning a store at 226 36th St. in Bellingham, Bellingham Metro News reported, citing city permit records.
A building permit application calls for tenant improvements to convert an existing commercial space into a J.Crew Factory store. City records identify J.Crew as the business and tenant associated with the project.
The main permit is still pending and remains listed as “Applied.” The 36th Street address is associated with the Bank of the Pacific loan center next to CVS in Sehome Village.
It is not yet clear whether J.Crew Factory would take over that space or another part of the property.
Part of J.Crew Group, J.Crew Factory sells clothing, shoes, and accessories for women, men, and children. Its merchandise is created specifically for the Factory label and includes workwear, casual clothing, denim, and coordinated family styles.
The Bellingham project would add another store to the retailer’s Washington footprint. The retailer’s online directory currently lists more than 400 locations nationwide.
No opening date has been announced. What Now Seattle reached out to J.Crew Factory, and this article may be updated as more information becomes available.
