Ford’s Garage is preparing to open a restaurant at 102 Beachwalk Blvd. in St. Johns, Florida. According to public records, St. Johns County issued a permit for the restaurant.

The Beachwalk restaurant will be the chain’s second in St. Johns County. The other is at 550 Outlet Mall Blvd., Suite 200, inside the Bozard Ford Lincoln dealership in St. Augustine.

According to the company’s website, the original Ford’s Garage opened in 2012 in Fort Myers, less than a mile from Henry Ford’s winter home. The chain is an official licensee of the Ford Motor Company. Its website lists locations in Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

The menu centers on Black Angus burgers and craft beer, along with other American dishes. The company’s website also lists a housemade veggie burger and a kids menu. Each dining room is designed after a 1920s service station, with classic Ford vehicles, vintage memorabilia, staff in auto-shop uniforms, and a hand-hammered copper bar top.

The chain runs a rewards program called MotorClub, which gives points on food and beverage purchases. Select locations offer reservations and call-ahead seating, according to the website.

The Beachwalk location does not yet appear on the company’s locations page, and no opening date has been announced.
