Mystic Mud Kava & Tea Lounge is preparing to bring a mystical, forest-inspired gathering space to Jacksonville Beach. Located at 1054 3rd St. N., the upcoming business has been sharing glimpses of its developing interior on social media as it builds anticipation towards opening.

The lounge will combine traditional kava culture with botanical beverages and a relaxed social atmosphere, offering the area a place to slow down, socialize, and enjoy drinks. They will host programming like acoustic performances, open-mic nights, sound baths, and tarot pop-ups, its website says.

Kava is expected to be a central offering at Mystic Mud, where the traditional South Pacific root beverage will be served in shells alongside the customary greeting “Bula.” Additional beverages will include kratom teas, herbal teas, botanical drinks, and Mystic Mud Shakes. They will also serve locally made Gator Ice Cream.

The lounge’s address is within the Sea Walk Village commercial area along 3rd Street North. Property materials from Hakimian Holdings identify nearby tenants, including Salt Life Food Shack, Mellow Mushroom, Cortello Salon, and Gregory’s Jewelers.

Mystic Mud’s website lists its upcoming hours of operation as 10 a.m. to midnight Monday through Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Sunday.
