Leven is preparing to bring a new dining experience to downtown Denver, expanding its deli concept into a full-service restaurant and bar at Block 162.
Leven Downtown is planned for the ground-floor retail space at 1520 California Street, within the office tower at 675 15th Street in Denver’s Central Business District. The restaurant is expected to open in 2027, giving the brand a larger presence in the city’s downtown dining scene.
The new location will build on the approach that has shaped Leven’s existing restaurants, where scratch-made food, fresh ingredients and Mediterranean-inspired flavors are central to the menu. This time, the focus will extend beyond the deli format, with a broader selection of lunch and dinner options and a full bar.
According to the restaurant’s website, guests can expect fresh-baked breads, hearty sandwiches, sourdough pizza, seasonal pastas and small plates. The menu is intended to offer options for different occasions, whether customers are stopping in for a meal during the workday or settling in for dinner and drinks.
Wine will also play an important role in the new restaurant. Owner Anthony Lygizos, a sommelier, will curate the wine program, adding another element to the full-service experience.
Leven Downtown will join two existing concepts in the brand’s Denver lineup. Leven Deli, located at 123 W. 12th Avenue near the Denver Art Museum, is known for its scratch-made sandwiches and Mediterranean-inspired fare. Leven Supply, at 300 E. Alameda Avenue in Wash Park, combines a neighborhood deli and sourdough pizzeria with a specialty market and wine bar.
The downtown restaurant represents a further step in the brand’s growth, while allowing it to explore a different style of dining. Rather than simply replicating the original deli, the new concept is designed to offer a wider menu and a more traditional restaurant setting.
Block 162 is a 30-story office building in the heart of downtown, between California and Welton streets. Its ground-level retail space places the restaurant near offices, hotels, public transportation and other downtown destinations.
The project’s design has also been planned with the dining experience in mind. Earlier development details described an open kitchen and mature indoor trees as part of the space, bringing a natural element into the downtown setting.
More details about the opening and the final menu are expected as the project progresses. Customers can follow Leven’s website for updates on Leven Downtown and its other Denver locations.
