Everidge is a family-owned major American manufacturer that specializes in commercial refrigerators and cold storage equipment. Its products include walk-in coolers and freezers, blast chillers, mobile cold-storage units, and specialty foodservice equipment.
It is well known for its customer-focused services, short lead times, low freight charges, and fast deliveries. Everidge offers products through brands including CrownTonka, International Cold Storage, LoTemp Doors, PrepRite, SmartRite, and ThermalRite.
The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) and confirmed the closure of the manufacturing facility in California. The facility located at 8886 White Oak Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, California, will shut down permanently in February 2027.
Closure to Affect 90 Employees
According to the WARN filing, the closure of the facility will impact 90 employees. The layoffs are scheduled to be effective on February 26, 2027.
A WARN notice is a formal notice that provides workers and government agencies with information about business closure and layoffs. The notice gives employees 60 days’ notice, allowing them to prepare for the upcoming changes.
With three decades of experience in the industry, Everidge focuses on modern and innovative technology and significant environmental initiatives. Everidge is headquartered in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Previously, Everidge and KPS Global finalized a strategic partnership on July 31, 2026, according to an announcement from Everidge. KPS Global, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, provides custom enclosure solutions for controlled environments. The combined company has more than 1,700 employees and 12 manufacturing facilities across the United States, according to the announcement.
The WARN filing does not specify a reason for the planned closure. Everidge has not been reported as closing its entire business, and the notice concerns the Rancho Cucamonga manufacturing facility.
